    Humbucker from Heck

You have plenty of options in this day and age for sure. If you're not specifically looking for a hum-cancelling pickup, then there's a handful of true single coils on the market that fit humbucker routes. I've got two P90 style pups from Roadhouse Pickups (TroubleTreble here on the board) that...

    Humbucker from Heck

I've used the Humbucker From Hell and was pretty pleased with the results. Probably won't end up sounding authentically like a strat, but it'll be more clear and open sounding than any standard humbucker will.

    Tone pot fail?

So I was switching the tone pot for the neck pickup on my archtop from a 500 to a 250, since I had switched to a single coil and it was sounding a bit too bitey. Additionally, something had come apart in the wiring and the tone pot had been non functional for a while, so I needed get around to...

AT1 Pickup - Thick Pick up

Does it sound thin or bright acoustically or is it really just when it's plugged in?

    FS: Soulmate telecaster neck, gorgeous!

not trying to be mean here, but I don't think you're targeting the right market posting this here. This is generally a community of people who love and advocate the use of Warmoth guitar parts. I could pick up a Warmoth neck with comparable specs to what you're offering for around $250 (maybe...

I feel like I'm bothering when I ask.. Good mate for an AT-1?

unless you're playing with really unsaturated clean tones, i don't think you'll have volume issues that you couldn't rectify by adjusting pickup height. Worst case scenario, DiMarzio has a 30-day exchange policy so you can just trade the AT-1 for something cleaner if you really want to.

new curious poll, guitarists you have met?

I briefly met Isaac Brock a few weeks ago when I was volunteering as a stage hand for a local music festival. He popped in to accompany the headlining act on an encore - apparently one of the opening bands was also signed to his label. I saw him and didn't even think it was him at first, then I...

Lefty Jazzmaster: Let there be sound!

You should all consider moving to Portland. It's cheaper than NY or any big city in Cali, and the public transportation is awesome and comprehensive.  :icon_biggrin: actually, i take that back. don't move here. i don't need my rent going up either

    GAS Alert!!!!

glad you like the design! It's really supposed to be a jazzmaster. they just don't have a jazzmaster builder yet  and I like tele's more than I like strats, so that's what i went with. I got the idea of the korina neck over the blue body from that one fellow's strat - it was just such a...

Lefty Jazzmaster: Let there be sound!

:icon_scratch: How can you possibly tell how much relief there is in the neck from any of those photos? anyhow, I used to live in Brooklyn and I rather liked Gary at Fried Guitars on State St. Quiet, unassuming location. Happened across him because he's right down the street from my sister's...
