Nice one, Dude!
Thanks for the pics....it always helps to visualize the final product. I love my Gecko as well..the walnut is fantastic! I agree that it is a heavy rig but I like to feel the instrument as I play. Again, Well done! :hello2:
Sorry for the delay in answering... I used 4 coats of tung oil sealer lightly sanding between coats, then 4 coats of polymerized tung oil. The plan is to put a coat of wax on it , but I 've been playing it so much, I haven't had the time :guitarplayer2:
I posted this in the "Work in Progress" thread but i thought it should be here as well: It's a Gecko Medium 5 Koa over Walnut w/ wenge/bubinga neck. Here are the pics:
Hope you like it as much as I do! BTW, It plays and sounds as good as it looks :toothy11:
I'm kinda new to posting photos, but why do the other photos on the various posts look(and are) so much bigger, and can have multiple photos posted each being just under 192kb?
Hi, I just thought that I'd show off my new rig-to-be! I just got it the other day, and WOW what a beauty! The walnut/koa combo is fantastic. The bubinga/wenge neck with ebony fingerboard feels awesome too. If anyone cares: The Details: Flame Koa over walnut gecko body, bubinga/wenge neck...
What I meant was that I AM already waiting for parts, and hoping that by staring at the website I would WILL the parts to arrive faster( I know...delusional :tard:) but I just want to get cracking on the new rig. So ...i guess looking in the mail box won't help either :laughing7:
You know what...you're soooo right. I think that the more I stare at the website, the faster I'll get my new rig ( please...please...please!) I'm just chompin' at the bit to get to work on the "Big Bottom Bass Project".
