We are now announcing the April 2021 Guitar of the Month contest!  April's contest will be "owner/non-professionally finished" and requires at least a Warmoth neck or body to qualify.

Please read the GOM rules, which have been refined, with some slight changes, and are posted in a sticky in this forum area.

In turn, your images will added to this message, which is April's submission thread.

Submissions will be accepted from now until exactly 7 days from now (please check this post's date and time), so get your cameras clicking!

As usual, discussion about the submissions can take place below.

Please do not post additional photos in any replies to this thread.  Links to other UW threads or external sites are fine. Links will not be included in the entry descriptions.

Please try to stick to the entry requirements:
1024x768 pixel images maximum as attachments please, not embedded in the email or linked to external sites.

Include your UnOfficialWarmoth Forum user name.

Owner or other non-professionally finished instruments only this month.

Sorry, but entries that do not meet these requirements may not be included in the contest. If you're having technical difficulties, get in touch!  (But only about contest entries please!)

Good luck, and may the best guitar/bass win!

Bill, tgo

What does tgo mean?

The Great One (Wayne Gretzky) of course!!

I guess that is the guy in the photo. But I really do not know who he is or what he does other than he may be some sort of sports guy. I looked him up a former Ice Hockey player.

But what does bill, tgo mean ?

It started 15+ years ago when I joined the Alembic forum.  There was another Bill who was a bass payer, so I became "Bill, the guitar one", shortened to "Bill, tgo".  Personally, I like the Wayne Gretzky story better...hehehehe!

Bill, tgo

ragamuffin, Memecode, alexreinhold, Dmraco, Unwound G, Rick2 and Superjunior all got together and decided to make this a real contest!

Good luck all!

Thanks Bill, tgo...

We sure have a lot of interesting specimens now to pick from !

I just finished my build but being a 50/50 owner/professionally finished one I'll wait for a contest for professionally finished guitars to enter it.

What you mean not everyone in Canada is a total Rush fan...impossible  :laughing7:

Am I wrong in saying that this is one of the funkiest competitions we've had in a long time?
(and I do mean 'funky' in the best possible way).
