looking for suggestions on a zebrawood/korina finish.

I know both have an open grain and I am looking for a more satin or unifnished look.  I doubt I will fill the grain but wondering what stains look the best.

I have seen Jackthehack;s threads but an wondering what may give these woods a little darker tone of color.  I would like to stain and use a wipe on satin poly.  I want the guitar to have a dull but durable finish....

Thoughts???  I will post some picks soon.  I should have it in about 4-6 days according to Warmoth!

I know you're after stain, but this is plain Danish oil on my korina strat with absolutely no filler...

Dull but durable (not retouched it in seven years) and darker than the unfinished wood.

did you use it on the neck too??

what brand of oil?
What are those two little holes?

That's purdy dj, I like the oiled finishes... :icon_thumright:

I'm just using Watco's Danish oil in natural and it darkened up my walnut. No stain or anything else, just the danish oil. And it will penetrate the wood and harden in the pores with a nice durable finish with a light sheen. depening on how many coats...
