YouTube Sync Issues

I wonder if anyone can tell me why videos on YouTube are almost always out of sync with the audio track? Is it the type of file submitted? I've never put anything up there, but I'd like to think if I did that I'd at least look more credible than Britney Spears. Most of what I see is so far out that you wonder if what you're looking at has anything to do with what you're hearing.

Maybe it's your comp, i've seen a few sysnc problems but most seem to be close enough, and I agree, that can terribly anoying real quick.

I'd have gone there first, but this is a pretty high-performance machine and I'm not running Windows. Plus, the problem seems to be isolated to YouTube, and even there it's not 100%. That's what made me think maybe it was the filetype(s) people were uploading or something.

Some devices aren't the best when it comes to the compression that youtube requires.
