Not sure what everyone's "spiritual" beliefs are, but I would appreciate your thoughts & prayers.

My son is a security guard for Google/Youtube serving at several of their Bay Area campus’s.
Today he is in San Bruno, Ca where there is an onging/developing active shooter situation.
Would appreciate your intercession.
Will provide updates as they become available.
I was able to text him, but very briefly as he’s busy with police.

Hey, Tony, that campus is just a couple exits away from me at work.  Looks like the police have brought the situation under control. The shooter appears to have turned her gun on herself and ended the whole terrible situation by taking her own life.

What a terrible, terrible thing.  I hope your son hasn't been unduly affected by the day's events.

Goodness, I will certainly keep you and your family in my thoughts and hope for a rapid conclusion to the event and for your son to remain safe.

He was out on the campus on patrol when it started, so he wasn't/isn't in the line of fire.  He's being interviewed by Sheriff's at the moment.

Threat is over, shooter shot self, now the cleanup & healing of the wounded.

Thank you.  He's pretty level headed as an avid marksman himself, so he stayed in good self control as he was trained to.

Glad to hear he wasn't in the line of fine. That must have been a stressful situation for him. Hopefully there weren't many people hurt.

3 or 4, but they are being treated.  Truth be told, probably more stressful for me being 900 miles away from my baby boy (30 yrs old) but his training worked well & he was calm, as I usually am in tense situations as per my tactical training.  I'm just a concerned daddy is all.  It's more the "way" I found out, sitting in a teriyaki joint having lunch with my wife near my office, and seeing it on the news.  I texted him right away, he said he was safe, but it was ongoing and he had to go to interact with Sherrifs.  The waiting was the hardest part for me.

I can see ho concerned you'd be. Glad he is fine. Hopefully the others will also come out of this OK.

I saw this on the news this morning in the UK. Glad to hear your son is OK.

Here is to a safer saner world. Its got a little too crazy the last year or two.

No kidding. I just read yesterday that London's murder rate has exceeded New York City's due to knifings. I'm thinking they should ban all cutting tools in the UK :laughing7:

Thanks everyone.

Investigation is ongoing, and my son decided to take today off after two consecutive 14 hour days in coordinating with Sherrifs to interview the entirety of the youtube staff.

Can't share any more than that as this is an ongoing investigation and all staff are "confidentiality sworn" in such a context.

That's fine. What matters is that he's OK. The rest is just the story surrounding it and not important to his safety.

Glad he is OK.  Seems like the media is burying this story..... :icon_scratch:
I heard it was a woman...

Yes, it was a woman who was thoughtless enough to not use an AR-15 and didn't kill anybody but herself, so nothing about the story fits the MSM's agenda.

Sad but true, Brother. If the news doesn't fit their political agenda, it didn't happen.  :(

It's getting a fair amount of attention up here in the Canadas.  Likely will die down the next time Justin Trudeau does something stupid.  That is, some time today...  :)
