She opened for Def Leppard in 2000, and that was a great show for both bands.
She had her head shaved at the time.

I helped set up her stage in 1980 with a friend of the band, I can't remember how many times I asked " whats the name of this chick again" So I wasn't expecting much and she blew me away, six months later everyone knew who she was.

She and the band was nice to me, and they had this certain aura or whatever, they had a nervous presence that I believe in hindsite was them breaking into bigtime. now 30 years later i'm not impressed, she's doing the same shtick.

She and the band have the energy and mybe the talent to move beyond the energy onstage to just a musicianship to bring us old fogies along, does that make sense?

Don't get me wrong, i'd do her again, I mean setup the stage, and cheer for her and them, but only for a $5.00 cover

I know what you mean.  She's amazing, but it's the same three chord songs as back in the day.  'course The Who are still doing My Generation...  Actually, bad example - she's nothing like the who in terms of artist development.

If the who havent called it a day after john entwhistle passing away, shame on them, but thats just what i think. but just looking at wikipedia for stuff obviously his replacement sounds to be a very well qualified bassist for the job.
And i guess if they still have the flare to keep on then good on them i guess.

But i swear joan jetts backing group change every year, cause the 2007 seems to have a different bassist to when i saw them in 2007 with alice cooper,  and the 2008 seems to have another. So much for blackhearts, looks more like ever changing hearts  :laughing7:
