So I have decided to assemble together a jazz bass from warmoth body, neck and pretty much everything else. I have shied away from darker woods as the main body as I have 2 black basses and decided to go for something lighter and natural.
The problem is I don't want a typical jazz bass that's a tannish natural colour like Marcus Miller jazz basses.
I came across this picture of a mayones bass thats make with elm eye. The colour of it is exactly what I want and was thinking of topping a bass with it and then slapping on a darker wood pickguard.
So I decided to come to the forum that I have been exploring recently to see if anyone could possibly provide a suitable wood choice (NOT BLACK KORINA) as warmoth don't do elm eye.
