Why kids today are no damn good

There's a darkness & melancholy in Duane's playing that just hasn't been matched in the reissue versions, methinks. The brothers had some pretty hard times in their family life and in the early "starving musician" part of their careers and it comes through - Haynes, Herring & Trucks are masterful guitarists (whippersnapper variety), but they're just too damn happy.... it's an old cliche, I know. All my top fave guitarists can court evil, and I guess it comes from somewhere.
