Why does this look weird?

I'm used to the V-2 shape, I like it, But for some reason that I can't figure out... This looks weird to me!!! Maybe the lack of finish?

Forgot to mention, It's something about the neck? Maybe 'cause It's maple?

I think the maple neck would look sweet with the right finish on the body.  Of course, I personally think the neck on a V2 should have sharkfin inlays, but that's just me.

Agreed, there was always something that bothered me in that pic and I think that's just it.
