Learning new DAW tricks... each tune utilizes the same "master" guitar recording, but with differences at the "mix console".

So, which sounds better, clip 1 or 2 of each?  This is in reference to tone-wise, not volume-wise.

The 2nd one sounds better. But to be honest, neither of them sound that good. They are all fizzy and fuzzy and both of them are lacking character.

I agree.

The second one sounds multi-tracked more than the first, but making it sound like something is out of phase.  :icon_scratch:

And a little too much gain for Eddie, needs less gain, more volume.  :icon_thumright:

Oh snap!  :laughing7:

The second ones do sound better, but they also seem a little fizzy.

Yes they are a bit fizzy... I'm in the process of acquiring better monitors/cans to mix on (flatter freq resp is necessary).

However, hearing that the 2nd sounds better tells me this Waves VComp plugin is a keeper... it's based off
of the old (vintage) Neve 2254 lim-com.  As such, it's not hi-fi but rather has the vintage vibe.
