Which bridge route do I choose?

First post here. I'm looking to buy a Warmoth body, which will be my first Warmoth purchase, but I need a little help.

I have all the parts I need for a Strat build, except the body, so I'm gonna get a Warmoth Strat body. I have a MIM bridge off of a 2001 MIM Strat that I plan on using for this build, however, I don't know which option to choose when buying the body. Would I choose the "Vintage 6-hole trem" option or the "American Standard" option? If I chose the American Standard option, does that mean they set it up for the two point mounting system? I plan on upgrading the bridge later on, but for now I need to use the MIM bridge I have.

So which routing system do I choose? Thanks for all of your help!

Good to know. I called Warmoth directly and they couldn't tell me if my MIM bridge would fit.  :icon_scratch:

Welcome to the forum!

Well, they won't know all bridges in all models in all years, you shall take the measures of your and compare with the dimentions warmoth does in their bodies :)

The bridge, from where the edge where the trem arm goes in to the opposite side is 3 1/4" also. It looks like the bridge screws are 1/2" apart as well.

I apologize for the triple post. Apparently the Vintage 6-hole bridge route from Warmoth is 2 7/32". My MIM bridge is 2 1/16. 5/32" is quite a bit of difference and I doubt it will fit.

just get Warmoth's six hole trem when you order the body. It's got a pretty descent price and from what I hear, it's not a bad unit especially when compared to a MIM.

Yes, seems like you'll need to buy a new one...

or take this time to upgrade.
Not a bad thought.  eBay yours and get another one while waiting for the body.  It'll take the sting out of waiting.

Unfortunately the MIM and American series bridges are NOT interchangeable.

There is inconsistancy with MIM 6-hole bridges and your's sounds pretty inconsistant based on the measurements you cite; order the bridge from Warmoth they run $44-52 depending on finish; ordering a cheaper "vintage 6-hole bridge" from eBay or elsewhere could just leave you in the same situation.
