I want to use 1 meg pots in a project that needs long shaft, Les Paul-type pots. I found some on Ebay, that might be Alphas, from Hong Kong:

I would like to get some higher quality CTS, Clarostat, Bournes or (?), but I'm not sure where - does anyone have a specific part number that will get me through the Mouser pages? I searched there:
http://www.mouser.com/Passive-Components/Panel-Mount-Potentiometers/_/N-5g9f?Keyword=1+meg+potentiometer&FS=True

but their shaft length doesn't refer to the part that needs to go through the wood. I could even live with linear taper, but they have to FIT. :help:

Try this website. If they dont have what you want you can get a custom one through one of there distributors.

I was helping a guy with some wiring inquiries on TalkBass, and he found out that apparently MEC will do custom pots at a quantity as little as one part.
However, they quoted him 72.59 Euros plus German VAT and shipping for a dual concentric pot with a push/pull DPDT switch.

Be prepared to spend a lot on their pots.

If you already have CTS pots which fit and have the long shaft, you can just buy the regular CTS 1Meg pots, open them both up, and swap the wafers. I used this trick to make a 100K linear long shaft pot.

Yeah, that also works. Good idea.

Since I'm already spending a bajillion dollars on my own guitar, I wonder if the added cost results in better pots?  Granted I'm sure the differences likely are marginal, but at the cost level I've reached already, I want everything bulletproof.
