Whats this mean, and how heavy is it?

Whats the number?  Code to weight?  Production code?  Order code?  No weight penciled in?  The best minds in the galaxy (or at least this part of it) need to know, pronto!  Thats not me neither!

I had wondered the same thing. If I remember correctly Gregg said it is strictly a production number that has no meaning outside the plant. Used strictly for control purposes.

However some conspiracy theorist do believe it is a date code that corresponds to a time that the body is programed to spontaneous combust forcing you to purchase another body therefor keeping them in perpetual business. It is programmed to catch fire during a searing solo so as not to attract attention to the fact that it just caught on fire for no reason whatsoever and making you appear to be a rock star in the process.  :tard:

How would that indicate weight?

I think all 3 of the W bodies I've bought had weight hand-written in the neck pocket, though these were all from within the last year or so. Maybe that guitar is a little older?
