What's the deal with the Warmoth headstock logo?

My first ever Warmoth neck is on its way, and as I browse the forums, I see pics of necks wih the Warmoth logo on the headstock — and I see some that don't.

So what's the deal with that? Do all necks come with the logo, and people just take it off?

The necks come with the decal in the box.  Warmoth doesn't affix any logo's, even their own.

The logo you get in the box is a plain black one.

most people order one of the metallic silvery ones.  I did.

Look at the finished necks in the "In Stock" section of the main site.  That's how they come....with nothing.
