What pickguard color for a Spectra Blue body?

I should give an *opinion* for one of my best friends: spectra blue body, maple neck w/indian rose, chrome hardware and emg black pickup

Spectra blue gets  plain ol' W/B/W, or, if you HAVE to pimp it, white pearloid.  That rich blue needs to be minimally cluttered.  Chrome hardware, while we're at it.

On further consideration, actually, if you HAVE to pimp it, try blue shell.  That oughta look interesting with the black EMG, since your buddy appears already to have made that mistake.

Why not? I love black & blu... but my friend wants *a cut* of colors (so I think white, mingreen, etc.)
From the beginning he wanted a mirror pickguard, but he has not  found it (ssh configuration), so ... :icon_scratch:

Sorry, my slang is sometimes hard to comprehend.

I said at first that I think a white/black/white pickguard, or perhaps white pearloid, would be as extreme as you should go.

But then I looked at the pickguard builder, and thought to myself, perhaps the "blue shell" material would look good on Spectra Blue.

I would imagine that he is still going to be the one deciding. He was probably just looking for any ideas. Maybe something he hasn't thought of. :dontknow:
