I made a little drawing, including tuners and stuff, of a stratheadstock, to see if a 3x3 head can be cut out of it, and not look butt ugly at the same time, but it seems it would work!
so, perhaps I'll just buy them from the showcase. I want a new 'series' of les pauls, directed towards fender-type guitars....
here's a sneakpeak:
korina body, jotoba top, pau ferro neck, strat singles+trem.
walnut body, cocobolo top, bloodwood (or bocote!) neck, tele singles + ashtray bridge
korina body, ziricote top, goncalo alves neck, 2 p90's, that nice wraparound gotoh bridge.
in all honousty, I want a bocote neck AND a goncalo alves neck, but I don't think thats financially viable. besides, I want superthink necks, and I think I'll have them custom ordered, just as the bodies. besides, if I'd get the bloodwood neck (which I really want!) what kind of guitar should the one with the bocote neck be? I know I want figured redwood, but what bodyback? flamed maple? and if so; what kind of pickups and bridge? woods are nice, but it has to make sense! Camphor burl is also lovely, but again, what kind of neck? what kind of hardware?!
a supplemental to the previous list:
korina back, camphor burl top, bocote neck, mini humbuckers
maple back, redwood top, and then I'll have that old ebony neck of mine refretted (or with a musikraft cocobolo neck),
but the hardware on those... I really wouldn't know
if I were only able to pick the pickups, then the bridge would automatically follow
