i've seen those before. i think they're really cool, but probably too light for me (i actually kind of like a guitar with some weight to it) and i'm not a fan of single coils.

Is this a little more your speed Doug?

Near as I can tell, I don't think it exists.  It showed up on a Google Images search for something else, and I think it's a Kisekae image.

Nope, that FUGLY, and I believe it's a Kisekae mock up... :tard:

I like the parker actually.  Nothing wrong with new ideas if they work...

... but they have to work.

That is a crime against humanity!

Isn't that what they said when the Tele and P-bass originally rolled off the assembly line?

I think that Fender's rivals were too busy laughing to make comment. Who's laughing now eh? They certainly made fun of the 'plank of wood' concept til it started taking sales and creating a new market...

Why do I doubt that this parker/tele hybrid is as revolutionary and original as the P bass and tele?  :icon_scratch:
Seriously that thing is fugly.

I doubt anyone is calling it "revolutionary."  well. some people are. but we all know their opinions don't count.  :icon_biggrin:

the point is, a lot of people don't like something because it's new and different. In this case, i'm one of those. man that thing looks terrible. haha

I don't see what all the consternation is about - it's a Parker Fly with Tele accoutrements.  :icon_scratch:  Looks pretty much the same as all other Parkers... no uglier, no prettier  :dontknow:

i agree with Cracked Pepper. if you already like parker you'll probably like this. if you've already decided you dislike parker then i bet this will be no different. i think it's pretty cool, maybe with a singlecoil-sized humbucker in the bridge? plus i think it has a piezo system, which i definitely enjoy playing around with

I like some Parkers, but i don't love them. To me the natural finish and the "vintage" styling goes completely against the modern aesthetic that makes Parker interesting. It's like putting gold 22" rims on a minivan - I just think it's tasteless and is only trying to make the item look like something it's not, rather than just being itself.

Then this is what you'd call a crossover or gateway guitar.  A Tele player would never think of owning a futuristic composite Parker, but they might atleast consider this one.
