Wenge and roasted maple

Is it possible to lay a roasted maple fret board on a wenge neck?  Would that just be too abstract?
What am I not considering?  How about, say, a roasted maple neck with rosewood or ebony fret board?
Must admit to being a wood creep.  Used to work for a custom rifle guy.  Different color grip caps and nose caps were once a big deal. Then carbon....

I've got a roasted maple neck with ebony fretboard:

It's nice, but I seem to gravitate more to my 7/8 Strat with roasted maple neck with roasted maple fretboard:

Generally speaking, if the online builder will let you specify it, then there's no physical reason it can't be done and they'll do it. As for how it'll look? Well, as they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Whatever floats your boat. Personally, I think a roasted Maple fretboard would look great on a hunk of Wenge neck meat.

As for other combinations, I have a couple Ebony over roasted Maple necks, a couple all roasted Maple, and a Pau Ferro over roasted Maple. I've worked on other combinations for other folks, and have yet to find anything bad to say about roasted Maple. It's one of my favorite woods. Looks, sounds and plays great, burnishes up like silk, is inexpensive relative to many exotics... what's not to love?
