Wayne Static of Static-X has died.

After 6 albums and starting a solo career that was going to begin touring Nov 6th Wayne Static has died at age 48.
Reportedly he had been clean and not OD related.

I saw Static-X play in 1999 and they were great.  Their style of music peaked around that time but I still listen to their debut album Wisconsin Death Trip.

Hat's off to a fallen Michigander. -Wayne was a bit more popular 'round my neck of the woods,  he was born in my home town and went to school with a guy I work with. -Ya can even catch pick-up trucks or a car or two around the north end of town and up near Shelby with Static-X stickers on the back windows and bumpers.

I think he, Pop Evil, Verve Pipe(?) and Jason Newsted are about the extent of West MI's Metal Legacy... A shame to lose 'im. -RIP Wayne Wells!
