Warner Hardtail Stratocaster...

This build consists of a Warmoth CBS Neck on a Hefner '70s Style Body which more or less makes it a Warner...
The neck is a very nice Pro Construction Birdseye Maple and Indian Rosewood, 1 11/16" nut width, '59 Roundback, 6105 SS wire, fret ends and board edges radius block rolled without removing too much valuable board real estate between the 12th and 22nd frets.
The Pro neck is equipped with Fender vintage tuners and a bone nut and and is mounted to the 3-Bolt body with a ProAttach.com Kit. Inserts and machine screws replaced the two 1 3/4" wood screws. Finish is a Nitro Amber tint and clear coats.
The Hefner 4 lb. 7 oz. SSS Alder body needed the neck pocket milled .025" in order for the neck, bridge saddles and string height to setup properly.  Pocket issues for Hefs are common according to some disgruntled product reviews...For me dealing with the pocket problem was the fun part of the project.
Bridge is a Fender USA '62 hardtail, pick-guard is a Fender gold anodized aluminum, 3 Van Zandt Blues Model pickups with a Callaham bridge bass plate, CTS pots, cloth wire, Oak Grigsby 3-way switch, orange cap , Fender string ferrules, Guenther jack plate and strings are GHS Nickel Rockers .010 - .046. Fender strap buttons were drilled to accept beefier #8 screws.
The body was finished with white nitro primer and 4 coats of nitro Vintage Cream AKA Banana Pudding AKA Vintage White. No clear coats were applied which gives a pleasing semi-gloss appearance.

Thanks very much. This build is the third vintage yellow Strat I have posted on this site and it's probably the last body I'll paint for awhile. I've decided to stick with what has worked best for me and that is 1972 to 1975 Fender bodies, the end product is worth more and requires much less time.

Cool. I've decided I really want to build a Vintage White (yellow) hardtail Strat (except I want a 4-bolt neck).    :glasses9:

Thanks...Hardtails are a very good choice. Here's one of my many 4-Bolt builds, last one for awhile: http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=11574.0
