Anyone have a photo of a warmoth W design headstock on a strat body?  I wonder how that would look - I want to do something a little different, and someone picked up the KWS I was looking at.  I LOVE, btw, the V on the LPS, but that would be too goofy on a strat methinks.

I think it would be *butt-ugly*
For strat, I think must be 50's strat, Jackson, KWS, Explorer, Ken Lawrence, perhaps even a Firebird... but Gibby and Warmoth is not nice for my eyes

Which KWS was this??

Here's your answer......A strat with a W headstock...Doesn't look so bad.. :dontknow:

That doesn't look bad at all! Actually has a nice "flow" to it when you compare the lines of the headstock to the horns (left side taller, right side shorter)

In deed it's not as horrible as I thought, but need to see if the scale of the draw is correct! ( or ask for a 7/8 headstock  :laughing7:)

perhaps a reverse looks even better

Of course the scale is correct....How dare you insult my photochoppin' skillZ.....

j/k Nonsense, I have no idea if the scale is correct or not, i just resized the pieces until they fit....

I know, that's exactly why I said it... I got a feeling that the neck will be slightly bigger in real size  :icon_thumright:

Yeah the neck is definitely a bit too small...

I originally wanted a Warmoth headstock for my first (strat body) Warmoth.  I ended up going with a strat headstock just because I saw a nice one in the showcase  :toothy12:

Here's a pic of my current project... strat body, warmoth headstock.  but this isnt a very strat looking strat, which is why I went with the warmoth head.  I think it all depends on what the body is like.

That looks great!  The zebra pups go very well with the binding.

thanks. i'm also having the fhole bound in cream as we speak.

also, back to the original topic... i have an alder rear routed quilt maple top strat body which i'll be putting in 3 single coils..  so it's more strat-like than the Sorceress, and I plan on using a Warmoth head maple neck with maple fingerboard.  I like the warmoth heads a ton (mostly cuz I want people to know it isnt a fender, but also cuz they look tough as hell i think.).  Just note that the warmoth head necks come with squared ends on the fretboards, not rounded as in strats, so you'll have to ask for the rounded specifically if you want that.

That actually does look great. I like the telecaster control layout - you're not afraid to be different.
