Hello, everyone...

I was just wondering if anyone with a Warmoth truss rod cover could give me the dimensions of the cover?
I'm going to order an engraved one, but theres so many styles of that shape, I don't know what to order. It's for the Warmoth shape headstock, if that matters.

While I'm here, I might as well show you that I have one already done, it's for a custom guitar that I'm having built by a family friend, who has build about 8 guitars and they are all amazing.

It's the ESP (or LTD, it's the same shape) cover shape, and I think it should fit. Considering there will be no holes pre-drilled, so as long as it covers the rod, it should be fine.

That ESP job will fit just fine.  Note that if you are going to apply a Warmoth (or any other) decal to your headstock, locate the decal on the headstock with the truss rod cover installed.  Ask me how I know this.  Okay, I'll save you the trouble.  I centered a metal die-cut Warmoth decal between the nut and the end of the headstock, little realizing that I wasn't taking the truss rod cover into account.  When I went to install the truss rod cover, it overlapped the decal.

Man... That would definitely be a piss off.
I haven't decided if I will on this one. It's going to have a maple veneer with black dye on it, and I want to show that off as much as possible.

Personally I don't think the cover they include is matching the Warmoth shape. I had Doug made me an Ibanez shaped cover I prefer. Also I prefer black screws.

Here's mine in the beginning and now

Those are both nice shapes for that headstock! The reason i like the pointed ESP shape, is because in my mind, it looks like the fretboard continues to a nice tapered point.

Perhaps having a Floyd nut exempts one from getting a cover, 'cause I didn't get one.
I'm good without it now, as I'm quite fond of it showing off more wood grain.

I like showing off the grain too, but I don't particularly like showing off the truss rod nut  :laughing7:
