Thanks guys..I was very happy with the build too...But it took sometime to get it done. Was working on my brothers Strat that I just finished up in time for his birthday.

lol, its a great little amp voodoo...Didn't cost me an arm and a leg either. Unwound G,  yep the neck is 25.5 scale. Sorry for leaving that out of the specs. First started the build in April 2009 then had to let it sit for a bit...Man, that was hard to do!  Thanks to all that take a look at it. You guys are the experienced builders here, and I'm glad I found the forums.

Now!  On to the next build.... Dare I attempt a Soloist next... :icon_scratch:

Hey Cletus,  been very busy as of late.. Well, all I did was sand down the body, grain fill with light brown then hand stain. Let that dry for 4 days then sanded again with 600 grit. Clear coat was Poly sprayed 4 layers thick with 2 days dry between coats. Hand buffed and thats it!

JTH, thanks very much for that. I'm planning something similar, and want to completely overload my brain with various details and options, and then anything that doesn't fall out of brain is going in the guitar. Cheers!

Very nice :icon_thumright:

I feel like I need to build an SG, but I think my gibson would be upset with me :laughing7:

very nice, i have been gassing for an SG for quite some time now and a warmoth build is certainly one option for me..how difficult was it to install the bridge hardware?

Hey xntrick..  How difficult was it ti install the bridge hardware?  Not difficult at all. Warmoth pre-drills the holes to fit the bushings. Like a few other builders I think the holes are a bit tight so I just use a small Dremel sanding bit to round them out. This helps remove any inside burrs or finish that may have built-up. After that, its just a matter of setting the bushing in the hole and using a wood dowel the same size as the bushing to drive the bushing home. Then just adjust posts to  your preference. Thats what I do anyways. Others use other methods that I'm sure works for them. Word of advice here:  As you drive bushing home, slow down and adjust your strike as you near the finish. I have seen others drive the bushing so hard the finish chipped right out! (bummer)  I think CB does the same thing but I think I remember a few threads that he rounds the holes out to the point that he just inserts the bushing by hand. Don't know if that right tho... You may want to ask him, he's real informative and very helpfull.  Many here are!  :rock-on:
