So, after the sale was announced there was a tonne of activity with people picking up this item or that item.

So much activity I lost track of what was going on.  I even completely missed Hannaugh's new strat.

So this thread is where you post your warmoth sale builds in the making.  I'll go first:

The 8 Ball Tele, with canary/canary neck (boatneck), earvanna nut (what the hell), sperzel sound lock tuners, white/black/white guard, Joe Barden Bridge, Lollar Charlie Christian bridge pickup and Lollar p90 neck pickup.  Neckplate by Doug.  Here's the body:

So - show us what you're getting!

Ash, white pearl finish, rosewood/rosewood neck, green peal hybrid pickguard, and some Bill & Becky Lawrence pickups courtesy of tfarny. Aside from the fairly unusual color choices, it's going to be a pretty basic Tele.

Still trying to decide on parts, but I'm pretty sure it will have SD Alnico II pups or something similar, and probably a maple neck w/ abalone dots.

This one will go on a MIJ fender neck

and this one will go on a Walnut (warmoth) Thinline that I purchased earlier this year.

Dual DiMarzio PAF Pro humbuckers, 3-way Fender switch, 1 volume, probably a Chandler Tone-X for instant Schenkerism.

All black hardware.

Thinline - Swamp Ash/Quilted Maple Trans Black Top/ Black Gloss Back Clear masked binding. Still Playing with ideas for the build - Neck (Call me crazy) but I really want an Ebony neck with a BE Maple Fretboard (yes you read that right) Just trying to talk "W" into doing it. All black hardware - Gotoh Tele Bridge, Sperzel Open Backed Sound Loks with Ivory Buttons, Vintage Pearl Pickguard S/D JB/Jazz Combo.

Chambered Standard - Mahogany/Quilted Maple Caribbean burst/Clear Gloss back /Clear masked binding. Again tossing around ideas still - Neck Mahogany (Fretboard is undecided Ziricote seems a possibility). Most likely chrome hardware - Gotoh Tele Bridge, Sperzel Open Backed Sound Loks with Pearl buttons. S/D Blackouts -

The body is currently in the air between Anchorage and Hong Kong, and it is only about five minutes ago that I realized I forgot to order the TOP ferrules.

As it is, I forgot the rear ones but managed an email before it shipped.

Either they realized I forgot and they included them (which they are certainly not obligated to do but Warmoth is great like that), or I'll just have to buy another body and make sure to include the ferrules with THAT order!

I'd call it a costly mistake except I'm oddly happy to be obligated to buy another body...

Yea - in my panic to order the body, I forgot to specify that I wanted the neck to be a P90 (!).  Managed to phone them in time.

This will have chrome hardware. I am about 95% certain that it will have BKP Mules.

Any suggestions for the neck? Would wenge/ebony look too dark for it?

whitebison, was that a screamin deal Strat? I had my eye on a stringthru there but ended up pulling the trigger on the below.  I requested a middle humbucker rout and I have have some ideas for hardware, I have no idea on pickups (brand or style).  I have an Epi Thunderbird and just love the longer style neck on this bodyshape, so maybe this will be a baritone.

That may be the perfect storm for neck dive.  They are suspect bordeline with a 24 3/4" scale length already.

Good point. I'll test it out with another neck and see how it goes.

Pitch Shifter: Yes, it's a strat body. There's still 4 other ones with the TOM, in black. Go ahead... buy one!!! That Firebird is something like 5# 2 ounces, add the hardware, and that neck is pretty well anchored. I think if you stay with a light wood for the neck like mahogany, you might be okay.

Kublai - I think Wenge/Ebony would look great.

@mullyman - paring that body and neck is just down right marvellous ... looking forward to see the final build.

Thanks, man. I'm anxious it see it all ready to play too. I'm very curious to see how I'll like their compound radius, or whatever it's called. My last build was an ordered neck that matches the back contour and fingerboard radius to the Peavey Wolfgang. I think they said it's a 15" radius.....I honestly don't remember. All I know is that I like my fingerboards fairly flat. With that said, I like a good Strat neck too so this should be interesting. Thanks again for the compliment on the guitar.
