Big surprise today! No quantum view message, and still my showcase soloist body arrived at work!! Whoohoo!

its a cheap poplar body, but it has flames all the way through the body!!! Pretty Cool!!

unfortunately I was almost out of Naphta, so apologies for the crappy photos

Well, the story behind this was that I wanted to do something low budget until I have some more cash for my walnut strat!
I have a bunch of (black) hardware and pickups sitting around that I want to use, and this would also give me a chance to experiment with finishes etc..

now I have seen the body in person, I am liking the flame a lot more than I was expecting. so maybe I will go with a nice amber stain on this one. we'll have to see how it will react with the green/grey strikes in the poplar.
not sure about the neck yet. It will be exotic/raw for sure

Nice surprise.  That flame is really gonna pop once you get a finish on there.

for some strange reason, I had fallen in love with the back of this neck.. something about the fading from light to dark

yes, rosewood and ebony!
my other rosewood neck is quite dark, so I like the lighter rw for a change! I'm very excited about it!
