Doing some Spring cleaning at my workshop and came across Warmoth's catalog for 1991.  Nineteen years later, prices are actually lower for some items.  Really can't complain.

Interesting. I've been watching Warmoth ever since they started in business, but never took advantage of them. Always wanted to, but have been very fortunate over the years to be able to buy decent instruments at good prices, so never got around to them. Now that I have, I've got religion. Can't imagine doing it any other way.

Maybe it's due to competition, though I don't think there are that many options out there compared to what they offer. We don't do this to save money though. The builds I've done so far cost more than a stock guitar from the likes of Fender, but as Fender don't do the woods I'm interested in, don't do the orientations I'm interested in (I'm a lefty), don't do the finishes I'm interested in (etc etc) I just see it as a tax that has to be paid by those with taste  :glasses9:.

The prices that we charge now are what our old dealer prices were before we went internet direct. We use to have to charge individual customers more in order not to undercut dealers price. Yes we try our best to keep our prices reasonable while still keeping our doors open.

Sandy, I remember well.  It was 30% discount which really works out to be around the prices 19 years later.
