Warmoth N2 build questions

Hi,

I've always wanted to build a Warmoth Nunoish type guitar based on Nuno's 24 fret version seen in the Decadence Dance video http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5165/5353404908_79f323a008_b.jpg  http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5208/5352792277_9f0ae9b3f9_b.jpg      but I have some questions.

I think that the 7/8 strat would be good for this rather than get a standard strat body and alter it but I see that the 7/8 guitars only accept the warhead necks. Can you get a warhead neck with a standard reversed strat headstock?

Second my choice of trem unit would preferably be the Gotoh locking trem as used on Suhr guitars. Is this an option that's available? I don't know if the Schaller trems let you set the torque of the bar the same way as the Gotoh

Thirdly years ago when drooling over Warmoth guitars I thought I saw an option that let you specify the body edge radius is this gone ?

No, and here's the reason.  Per the Fender license, anything with the Fender headstock must be compatible with a Fender body.  The 7/8 scale isn't, so no go.  (Though technically, the 7/8 is interchangeable and a conversion neck for Fender's 24" scale stuff - but that just gets confusing)

If you are set on a Fender headstock shape and don't necesarily want the identical Strat shape, look at the Soloist body.

Yeah, look at the Soloist body.  It has higher fret access than the normal Strat body.  Also, if you got the 7/8 Strat with Warhead, you're limited to the 24 3/4" scale.  The Nuno N models were 25.5" scale I beleive.  The 25.5" Strat scale length is doable with the Soloist body and will also accept a Warmoth 24 3/4" conversion neck, so you could have either, not just one.  And both the 25.5" scale and 24 3/4" conversion neck are available with the Strat headstock.
