I haven't used one, but I watched a couple videos of the thing to see how it worked and it appears to use the same sort of mechanicals that the Bladerunner vibratos do. That is, rather than usual linear compression or helical coil springs, they use a flat piece of tensilized steel as a spring and pivot on that. They don't say or show, but it also appears to be dive-only operation, and a limited one at that.
Speaking of limits, none of the surface-mount solutions are going to do deep dives like you can get out of the units with the big cavities and rear-mounted springs. So, if you were entertaining the idea of playing EVH-style trampoline exercises on the trem, you may want to consider other options :laughing7:
