Wanna make a cocktail?

We take

3 parts padouk
2 parts wenge
1 part ebony

And what do we get? yes yes, my new les paul 2 piece padouk top, 2 piece wenge back, 1 piece padouk neck with an ebony fretboard.

it will get a 25.5'' neck, 1 3/4 nut, fatback. so: it will be HUGE!!! 3 humbuckers, and a nice wiring scheme (2 volume, 2 tone, 5 way toggle, and a 3 way toggle for single/series/parallel).

When I get some pics, I will post them ofcourse! I just wanted to share my enthousiasm. Bob, thanks for everything

I am having problems though, deciding which pickups I want!! I have a nice set of custom/59 hybrids, a jb/bluesbucker hybrid for the bridge and a novatron in the neck, or uhm.... well, I wouldn't know. Just trial and error, and then we'll see what happens.

I will oil the hell out of this guitar, and it will take 6 to 8 weeks to get to my doorstep.

The funny thing is, I have a les paul with a purpleheart top on a rosewood back, and Crimson Guitars is building for me 2 les pauls. one with a rosewood top on purpleheart, and wenge on padouk! so, this warmoth makes the family complete

I understand the uniformity thing. I have 8 strats and no Les Pauls. Because I like the way strats hang on me and I dislike the way Pauls do. I've tried other designs and they are too troublesome.

I'd say it will be large. The Superwide Fatback is HUGE. It's actually too huge.

The 1 3/4 FB is my favorite profile. I have a 59 Roundback that seems almost Standard Thin after all the chunkiness.

I have a tele and a strat, and i had an explorer, v and sg.  I never played those, only my les pauls, so why should i pay a lot of money, for a guitar i don't like?

@whitrebison: perhaps you're right, but it isnt just wide, its also fat. For a les paul, its huge

@death by uberschall: nag, no floyd... i have some tremolo equiped les pauls, and i dont like them. I like fixed bridges, so again I ask, why should i pay a lot of money for a guitar,hardware or gear i dont like?

But, I've been thinking about a tele and strat for myself, guitars who won't get exotic woods, just alder, ash and maple.

a tele and strat with the dutch flag painted on it! Something like this:
