And... thank you for all the great submissions!

Easy choice, the one with the strings.

Oh wait... Good luck all!  :icon_thumright:

This month was really hard for me to make a choice, but I've now finally cast my vote.

Good luck to all!

I might not have much hope against all these great guitars, but in an act of desperation, may I direct potential voters to further photos of the Tele Deluxe here :

FWIW, I really like your Tele - very nicely done. It was among a few I was trying to choose between before deciding to make it simpler by entering myself (so to speak)! So you never know...

This was the closest I have seen it to me as far as what to vote for and I still think I might not have voted for the right one for me. I still want to change my choice between a few of them.

OK, my vote's in. Really tough choice this month, so many I'd like to own. Good luck to all!

Man, what a spread. More than a couple favorites in there, but ultimately I cast a vote for the one that I'd be most likely to build for myself. Best of luck to all!

I dunno why but I almost feel it's unfair to included basses in the same categories as guitars. They seem to have a leg up on gorgeous  - especially when it comes to flaunting fine furniture grade exotic hardwoods.

Be grateful, as I recall, this contest went quite a while without a bass.  How many bands with a guitar don't have a bass?

I thought of the Doors. So now we have 3 out of how many thousands.  I could name 3 jazz groups that have a bass but no guitar.

I don't think Abba had a bass either. Nor drums, for that matter. Their whole sound was tinny to my ears.

Been out of town all week. Man, some mighty nice instruments showed up.

My vote's in.

There was a 90s postrock/mathrock/whatever it was they were calling it that weekrock group called Rothko that had 3 bass players. a couple of effects pedals and that was it.

I remember I quite liked them at the time. Never heard their cover of Big Bottom that they apparently did live.

Sorry, I just felt like sharing.

I had to look this up.  Abba's bass player was Rutger Gunnarsson, it says he played on all their albums and toured with them.  Their drummer was Ola Brunkert, who also played on all their albums.  Both were considered side musicians and were not pictured with the band.

But seriously, how can you have disco without a bass/drum.  Gotta have that disco beat.  Take another listen, there's actually some rather brilliant bass lines.  Sure, it's a little cheesy now, but in the 70s they were hot stuff, world-wide success, and various estimates place their album sales up to a half billion (that's billion with a "b").

Abba and Disco, plenty of bass and drums on this Abba cover...  :toothy10:

OK, I stand corrected. So why did they sound so brittle?
