Hey guys. Just ordered my first complete Warmoth build. I ordered the superwide neck, so I went with the vintage hardtail bridge that Warmoth offers.. Can anyone tell me who manufactures this bridge. I have searched far and wide but did not find an answer.

Thanks.

Al

Welcome to the forum.

I do not know who the manufacturer of that bridge is that Warmoth supplies.

However, for information, the super wide neck or most Warmoth necks for that matter comply with the heel dimensions for Fenders. So regardless of the width of the nut, the width at the heel is the same. This will mean with a vintage spaced bridge the strings will still end closer to the edge of the fretboard as you go up the neck towards the body.

See corrections below...

The heel of the "super wide" neck is the same width (for mounting purposes) as a standard neck, but the fretboard is wider. It's an unusual construction. I've got pics, but not on this machine. Think of it as a sort of "sideways" overhang down in the heel area. So, a wider bridge won't put the strings on the edge of the neck like you might imagine, and is in fact necessary for proper spacing.

Hi Cagey, Thanks for the extra information.  A sideways overhang sounds like a cunning plan for folks with large hands  :icon_thumright:

Here is the information from the darkest corners of the Warmoth site.

The last one I built using that neck was for a gentleman who was transitioning to electric (a Strat) from classical guitar, where flatter radii and wider necks are fairly common. So, it wasn't so much hand size as it was familiarity with that geometry. I remember being surprised at the heel, although I guess that's the only way you could do it unless you wanted to start offering neck pocket mods for bodies, rendering them useless for anything else.

I used to play classical a lot in addition to electrics, but the style is different so there is that. The important thing of course is that people can find options to suit their needs.
