TV Jones P/U "Popping"

I have a TV Jones Classic in the neck position of a tele build.  I certain situations, I get a "popping" or real sharp attack when playing.  Usually when I dig in.  Seems to be worse when reverb is set up higher. 

Pickup adjustment?  Electronics?  Wiring????

Any help is appreciated.

Hmmm.  Do you have one at the bridge as well?  Do you have a pickguard?  Does the popping pickup have shielded cable?

TV Jones only in the neck.  There's a Seymour Duncan vintage Stacked in the bridge. Pickguard shielded. Cables shielded.

Are the strings possibly making contact with the pole pieces? Or is the pick striking the pickup?
