Truss rod tone

I'm getting ready to order a neck for my black limba body and am not sure which truss rod type to get. Is there a tonal difference between vintage/modern and modern construction types?

I don't know about "tonal difference". Too many variables going on there. I do know that (to me) the modern construction seems to have a bit more of a stiff/rigid feel to it compared to the vintage/modern.

Which exact neck and body are you talking about here?
