I started the procedure to reset the side adjust nut but now it’s acting funny.
When turning the nut clockwise, it will go into the neck and eventually stop, but when turning it counter clockwise it simply spins in place, and feels very loose. From here I’m able to pull it straight up with the allen wrench without turning it at all. I can pull it out far enough to where it protrudes from the side of the neck but doesn’t come out. I can also push it back down without turning.
However, if I put downward force on the nut while simultaneously turning counter clockwise, it will come outward, albeit very quickly. And by quickly I mean by the seventh turn it’s already outside the neck. Should I go have it looked at by a tech?
And as for the heel nut, I’m able to completely take it out of the neck, but when put back in it works as normal. Is that supposed to happen?
