trans black

i saw a transparent black strat in "bodies in stock". when i went to build one with a few different options, i didn't see any trans black offered.anybody know if they still offer it ?  ...much thanks...

Was the in-stock body maple? If it was, the finish was almost certainly a black dye (which is transparent). As far as I know, there is no option for transparent black finishes unless they're the black dye option, which is only available on maple top guitars. I hope this helps!

There is a Trans black as well as black dye, and black wash dye.  The wood selected in the builder may dictate what colors are available in the builder.  It's also possible it's just a kink in the builder.

There is a trans black that isn't black dye or black wash dye.  I just looked, and it's not in the builder.  That's either a flaw in the builder or it's discontinued.  Just look at them in the showcase.  Seeing enough of them can give you a better feel for what it looks like than the builder, IMO.

Are you sure they still have it? They don't have any transparent black guitars in stock, it's not an option in the builder, and it's not mentioned on the "Finishes" page, either: http://www.warmoth.com/Guitar/Body/Finish/#!/Transparent

Interesting. You can't find it as an option at all in the new showcase, but it's still an option when you click on "go back to the old showcase" under the drop-down menu. Sounds like they're planning to discontinue... Or maybe the new system simply hasn't caught up fully.

Transparent Black just got missed going into the new showcase. It is still an available and active color. It should be fixed soon.
