Well, that is quite possible. Back in the 80's there were "Safety Nazi's" in Congress that put a limit on the speedo of 85mph. However this did not limit the car to going only 85 mph. That was only to psychologically make you think that was the limit of the vehicle, in reality the cars would actually go much faster... :icon_biggrin:Super Turbo Deluxe Custom said:Max said:Ha, sounds like you had a blast. "How fast will it go?" "We'll the speedometer says 120." I'm gonna get a different speedometer to make my car go faster.
Duuuuuuude, you seriously need to read up on things......jerryjg said:Tjheres no way a Nisan 4 banger will hit close to even 110, governor or no governor, flat out, even on the friggin Bonneville Salt Flats. Im assuming you dont have the 6 cylander, which is a real wolf in sheeps clothing, but even that would top out at about 120-125 ( engine go boom -clanka clanka clanka - pshhhhh).
I mean, unless its modified for circle track or something., which i'm assuming it is not.

The 2009 Nissan GT-R is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that generates 473 hp and 434 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission routes this prodigious power to the ground via an advanced all-wheel-drive system.
In our instrumented testing, the 3,836-pound GT-R teleported to 60 mph in a drama-free 3.3 seconds, thanks to its launch control function, and turned in a blistering 11.6-second quarter-mile at nearly 121 mph.
