Greetings!

My 1st Warmoth that I built, was a Tele using a vintage style, string through the body, vintage string spaced bridge.

Is there such a thing as a top loading, narrow spaced bridge, that mounts with vintage screw spacing, that I can use to replace the vintage spaced bridge?

You could use threaded steel saddles and use the threads to make the spacing narrower. you also could custom drill the top loading holes in a vintage tele plate as most tele bridges arent setup for both.

maybe gotoh has something like that? Maybe string saver, the guy who makes TUSQ? Maybe callaham? I'd have to look. Maybe get a bridge you like and swap saddles?

My brain is not comprehending this. How would the spacing be narrower by just using different saddles, while the strings go through the body at the wider spacing. I'm not getting it

You can see the threads here. and the strings can be seated into the threads at slightly different locations than where they come through the body. See also slotting tune-o-matic style bridges for narrower spacing.

It can effectively narrow your string spacing just enough that you may not need a whole new bridge.

Do it! Do it NOW! In fact, when I was down in a pit of darkness, wracked with unspeakable pain, he said to me "They were wrong" ........"But Spud you are right.......so right"
