Tom Delonge Replica Strat

So i know I've kinda fallen off the face of the forum lately, cause I've been doing pre production for my friends' band pretty much all day every day.
But
I've been thinking about going back to my punk roots, and doing a Tom Delonge Replica Strat
I have to ask for some opinions though
As for the finish, should I go Seafiam Green, or Daphne blue? I know he's used both.
And should i do maple fingerboard, or rosewood? I'm leaning towards rosewood.

I'm going for a flame maple neck, but should i go vintage tint, or clear?

I'll be using the tilt back strat neck, because I don't want to use string trees, even though be used the CBS headstock.

IMO, seafoam goes with rosewood, and Daphne blue goes with maple.

You don't have to use a tilt-back neck to forgo string trees. You just need a well-cut nut. The only thing trees do is keep the B and E strings from popping out of their slots on sloppy nuts. That's why Leo came up with them in the first place. When his guitars became popular and production ramped up, there wasn't (or they didn't allow for) enough time to fabricate nuts properly. So, for mere pennies he had a solution. Unfortunately, they're not only unsightly, they can cause tuning issues.

Out of the hundreds of guitars/necks I've done over the years - 90% of which had straight headstocks - I think I've only installed string trees 2 or 3 times, and then only because the customer strongly insisted. But, I always take the time to insure the nut is properly done so it's not a problem.

Yeah, there is no need for an unsightly tilt back headstock, or string trees. Just set your nut up properly.

Thar is true, but i prefer tilt back headstocks. They've always appealed to me more for some reason.

Personally, I prefer Daphne Blue over Seafoam. And go full flame maple neck. Yum.

The Daphne Blue is really nice... and i do need to add a maple fretboard to my collection... hmm.

I like this idea. I'm actually in the process of building a pop/punk ska alternative machine. I had a Delonge type build planned initially but went a slightly different direction. I like your idea of the tiltback headstock. It's kind of a nod to the Gibson too. I'd say take that a step further. Go for a hollow Strat with a F hole. Maybe in orange or yellow.  Put a Dirty Fingers in it. :bananaguitar:

I like this idea... I'd still go for the Invader though, cause I have them in two of my guitars (my Syn Custom and Syn Special) and I love the sound.
Maybe a racing stripe across the forearm contour as well...
