Three greatest words to see in the "From:" header

It is the neck for it.  I have to wait for the end of the month/middle of next month for some flat sawn ash with groovy grain patterns to come out at Warmoth.  Gonna be a Butterscotch blonde body, hopefully.  I have pictures of the way I want it done (Another Warmoth body, but it didn't have the correct details)  So, hurry up and wait.  But, I'll post picts when the neck gets in.  Should be a doosie.  Easily should compete with some of the other lumber I have accumulated.

Now off on a weekend vacation to the mountains.

Well, it was a journey to get the thing.  From what I understand, ziricote is worth more as finger boards than as the whole neck.  From that perspective, I can see why it isn't common.  I put a bit of effort into getting it, and the folks a Warmoth were nice enough to say, "Okay."  Whether it is because I wore them out and didn't blink at the price, I dunno.  I was thinking to myself after seeing Ken from Roadhouse's guitar of the month winner way back when, I will get one of those someday.  I decided I had the finances, and started to email Warmoth.  I didn't want what happened to Brazilian Rosewood to happen to Ziricote.  For whatever reason.  And now, all of that is kind of irrelevant.  I got it.

But yours is just yummie yum yum yum, that's all Ziricote  :o

Now that's how all pic's of a new neck should be posted  :icon_thumright:  :icon_thumright:  :icon_thumright:

Ziricote really quickly became one of my favorite woods. It is absolutely striking.

I would love to get my hands on that neck!
