It's abundantly clear that Warren spent a whole lot of time as a kid learning the exact solos note-for-note - he's not just blowing smoke here, he's playing the song.

Yay.

That was bad-ass.  Not often crazy about Warren's own songwriting, but the man can PLAY, and he always turns in a solid cover of whatever he's copping.

I went on a Warren Haynes cover spree following this ... he turns in a lovely "Whiter Shade of Pale", among other things.  Great start to the day. Thanks.

I just did the same thing. Too much fun. Puts me in the mind of wanting to be in a band and do the exact same thing. I wonder what it costs to get performance rights for all those pieces, or if they're just letting the lawsuits fall where they may and plan for a massive bankruptcy?

The mellotron keyboard parts on "No Quarter" came out well, considering they were played on a guitar. My guess would be a box that lets you synch the rates for tremolo and vibrato... I have a VF-1 that could do that if I spent a week finding it, the AX-Fx - probably just hit the "No Quarter/Mellotron" button, huh.

Yup. It's right next to the "Fifties Sci-Fi Flick/Theremin" button.
