A friend of mine has a fender 72 thinline reissue and it has those fender "wide range" humbuckers that are significantly wider than your standard humbuckers. I assumed this is what they mean by Fender humbucker size. I've never heard of Gibson pickups being smaller than any other humbucker. Didn't they invent the humbucker?
"We offer pickup routing for the big Fender Humbucker
or the Gibson style Humbucker in the neck & bridge positions"
According to this statement on the page i guess i should go with the gibson size
The Fender humbucker option on the thinline pickguard is for a Fender Widerange humbucker, which is larger than the standard 'bucker and uses 4 mounting screws. You want the Gibson humbucker route for P-Rails, as they are designed to fit the standard Gibson route.
