They're taking their sweet time with Guitar Pro 6

I really want to get Guitar Pro, but I want to make sure I wait until GP6 comes out rather than buy 5.3 when they're supposed to have 6 out soon.  I wish they wouldn't keep saying it's gonna come out and then it doesn't.  It's really annoying because I keep finding tabs that won't work on my old Guitar Pro, but I don't want to update my software yet.  Arg!

That's a neat little program! I've been having the same problem as Hannaugh, so this is a nice find. The sound quality doesn't seem quite as good as GP, but it's free, and probably won't be as buggy as my pirated GP5.  :laughing7:

Yeah - GP does have some extras such as RSE Sound Engine while Tux ´"only" has MIDI.

But the price sets them apart obviously.

And I like the Tux-interface better.

I think Guitar Pro 6 is taking so long to come out because it's being made completely from scratch, as with GP5 was built from GP4 and so on. My guitar teacher goes on about this program constantly because he gets it free, and because I'm student I think I can get it half price.  :toothy10:
