They almost look like... the predecessors to whammy blocks! Though, everyone knows the best whammy blocks are the $70, ultra-heavyweight brass ones sold by... the same companies that sell the ultra-lightweight titanium blocks! For $310! :icon_scratch:
There's also some heavy angle steel (soon to be 0.5" X 1.5"), some light angle aluminum (ditto), and (I have high hopes for these) some hollow steel rectangle blocks that once I drill & tap them, can actually have 1, 2,3, maybe even 4 stove bolts cranked down through them, thereby actually having a variable-weight whammy blocks which will once and for all, answer the question, "What's Stubby doing this summer?" As things would work, these arrived solely for the purpose of interrupting this:
