I find this scenario a tad annoying...
* Warmoth, it seems, were requested by EB to stop making the VW body in EB's right to claim copyright of the design.
* Another company, and a smaller competitor to Warmoth, still offers basically the same body design.
If it is so that EB wants to stop others copying their designs, fine, but for the sake of consistency and fairness to all in the industry, make it across the board and pursue all copiers. :dontknow:
I strongly doubt that the other company has brokered a licence deal with EB, and I suspect the only reason they haven't been hit with the same as what Warmoth got, is that they are smaller and not making inroads into possible sales.
I don't expect anyone from Warmoth to comment, of course. I'm just expressing my distaste at this practice of leaning on one company by the copyright owner, while another company doing the same thing is allowed to continue as if nothing has happened.
