Here's my attempt at a Les Paul inspired Tele. Warmoth did an absolute amazing job on the body and neck. The paint job is beautiful and it's exactly what I hoped it would be.
The specs are:
Swamp ash carved top Tele body with flame maple top - I asked for no special top and what I got is astounding. It's the exact level of flame that I wanted. I was actually expecting it to be less flame-y. I decided to go with a satin finish on everything because every other guitar I have is gloss and I really like the look of the satin finish
Body and neck have cream binding
The neck is maple with rosewood - and it's a FAT boatneck. It is a hefty bat of a neck.
the pickups are a Bareknuckle VHII in the bridge and a SD '78 in the neck - both reading just over 8.
Gotoh vintage tuners and a standard Gotoh TOM bridge. I searched online and I haven't been able to find another guitar using the 6 in-line vintage tuners like that. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing. :laughing7:
It plays surprisingly well straight away.
