tele routing question...

I dont see why this isn't possible, but...

Can I get a flat tele body routed for  P90 x P90, and drilled for a vintage tele bridge?  I've got an idea to use a half-tele bridge on that.

Any thoughts?

Are you talking about a bridge like the one on the G.E. Smith model Tele: http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Fender-G.E.-Smith-Telecaster?sku=511892&src=3WFRWXX&ZYXSEM=0&CAWELAID=60351354 ?

Don't see any issue with that, assuming the ferrules line up correctly

You can indeed.  I put a Dogeared P90 on this Tele for the bridge pup and a Charlie Christian for the neck.

They make 'em in brass, aluminum, stainless.  Cheap.

They also make custom tele control plates, neck plates, knobs etc.  Same materials.

Any they have an interesting "tone block" string ferrule block, same materials.

Sorry, CB  :laughing7:

I guess this is my fault.

I don't see why they can't rout for a tele bridge, with a p90. The bridge rout and the pickup route *should* be separate.

And I'll be looking forward to this project. Will it be happening on your new bench?

Hey, G, you know that's the exact tele I've been imagining for a while? While I'm writing this, I see the file name, along with confirmation it's based on the John Lennon LP Jr?

Hey Max, I scratch built the Tele for a friend who wanted a guitar as a tribute to the dead Beatles.  The wood is actually Alder but stained to Rosewood colour emulating George Harrison's famous Let It Be/Rooftop Fender Tele.  The pickups combo follows John Lennon's MSG LP Jr. using Vintage Vibe's C.C. Rider and P90 dogear mount.  Neck is Warmoth's Indian Rosewood and the pickguard is self cut to fit and align all the assembly in a straight line.

The guitar is nick named George-John and serial numbered 090909.
