I'm putting a Warmoth Tele neck ('59 roundback, maple/maple, 1 5/8") on the guitar I bought to mod: http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=10666.0.  I'm having Jack from JP Guitars finish it, put a nut on it and set it up.  I'm leaning towards gloss, because I don't usually go for that (I love my exotics), but I'm also interested in a gloss/tung oil hybrid.  Let me know what you all think, please.  I have a bit of time to decide, I just ordered it from the showcase on Saturday.

Crap - I have a 59 roundback tele neck for sale.  SS frets, and threaded inserts.

Too bad I didn't reach you earlier...

Oh - and it's got a satin finish on it.  I think you should go for satin  :icon_jokercolor:

Hey Mayfly, I might be interested in that neck. What size are the frets?

SS6105.  and it's a warmoth pro, compound radius, 1 11/16 nut, maple/rosewod, graphtech nut, planet waves tuner holes. and the threaded inserts plus bolts.

Currently there are dibs on it, but we're still kinda talking.  PM me if interested.

Go for a satin, not matte finish, and polish out the front of the headstock.... and thats it.  The fretboard will self polish in the played spots.  So will the back of the neck, and it'll feel incredible.  I know - I've done it!~

I have the same neck, and finished mine with 2 coats of tru oil followed by buffing it out with my random orbital sander. It feels absolutely fantastic, and was crazy easy to do.
