How about Warmoth made an online poll, here and/or on their website where they offered a couple of new body shapes and people could vote on which one would go into production?
Rob Chapman of Chapman Guitars base his whole line of guitars on this concept: the audience decides.
There is for instance a V coming out and this is what their voting page looks like.
So instead of us here throwing out one weird suggestion after the other, they could actually take a couple of body shapes (or some other designs - necks for instance) they might have been contemplating of doing and let the poll results give them some hard facts about the popularity of these designs.
So, DoubleA (and any other Warmoth guys/gals out there); what say you?
You wouldn't have to deal with suggestions like this:
I would love an "almost Strat" shape like Sergio Vallin's signature guitar. I just find this shape so perfect and beatiful:
