You'll need to route out more wood for the tele pickup, fill old holes and drill new ones. Sounds like a piece of cake for a man with some dowel and a dremel with a router bit. :doh:
If you're willing to drop some dough, Glendale has a strat bridge that looks like a half-tele bridge.
Then, route out the strat pup to a tele bridge pup size. Direct mount, or get a mounting ring.
Oh c'mon man, suck it up! Stiff upper lip. You can do it. Its within the capability of clever children, and even women. Don't be down on yourself.
Just go buy the bridge, and place it where it needs to be. Trace the wood thru the opening and then trace the pickup placed on the opening (so you can fit the plate. Fill in the old holes, drill the new ones, route the wood - slowly (its pretty easy) then you're all ready to get it assembled.
